Come On A Blog Shoot With Me.

Today I’m excited to share a video that I’ve wanted to shoot for a long time – a behind the scenes look at what a typical blog shoot is like for me. From styling an outfit to finding the perfect location, there’s a lot more that goes into a blog shoot than most people would expect. We tend to shoot in the evening just before sunset, but it’s always a little mayhem when you’re literally chasing the sun. There are definitely days when we just aren’t happy with a shoot and we’ll have to redo it – although it’s not too frequently. As most of you know, my husband Phil shoots 99% of the photos I share on here and my Instagram. Over the years he’s become pretty skilled behind the lens. He knows the angles that work best for my frame and the best positions to get that blurred background that you’re probably used to seeing in my photos. We shoot on a Canon 5D Mark III and we typically use a 50mm or 85mm lens which also helps get that blurry background and sharp foreground. Feel free to leave me any questions you might have or let me know know if you’d like to see more of these types of videos/posts.
xo, Maria
