Chic Workwear Pieces You Can Wear At Home & Into The Weekend

Even though I don’t work a traditional office job anymore, I’ll always gravitate towards chic workwear pieces that can be restyled in many ways. For years, Express has been my go-to for sleek pieces that I can wear throughout the work week and into the weekend. I love that their newest drop includes items you can wear during the “in-between” season no matter what your work situation is. I recently picked up a well-rounded mix of satin tops, fresh accessories, and smart outerwear that take the guesswork out of getting dressed. The best part is, everything can be mixed and matched for outfits that go directly from your desk to dinner. Keep scrolling for all the chic workwear pieces worth buying now.
Neutral Statement Tops
I try to keep a good mix of elegant basics and feminine statement tops in my wardrobe throughout the year. With fall around the corner, that means adding more satin camisoles and high neck tops to my stash. I fell in love with this lace and satin bodysuit because it’s such a great piece to wear from day to night. It’s so luxe when worn alone but also looks really chic and feminine underneath a blazer for work meetings. Since it’s a bodysuit, it tucks really well into jeans, trousers, and skirts.
Tailored Outerwear
You guys know I’m all about a good tailored jacket no matter what season it is. Express makes so many beautiful jackets that rival higher ends brands from oversized blazers to boucle jackets and plaid pieces. You can quickly throw them over any top for your weekly video conference calls and then pair them with jeans for a polished weekend look.
Sleek Denim
Jeans are one of those wardrobe staples you can never have too much of in the fall. If you’re heading back into the workplace soon, Express has a huge selection of dark blue, gray, and black jeans that’s suitable for any office setting. Many of the denim styles are high-waisted and have a good amount of stretch so they’re comfortable to wear all day long. This fall, I’m really obsessing over gray washes, which are just as versatile and polished as black denim.
Dresses
I tend to stick to chic workwear separates around this time of the year, but if you prefer to wear dresses, I’d go with work-to-weekend pieces, like a slip dress or a wrap dress. You can wear them in early fall with slide heels and then with tall boots later.
Accessories
To dress up your workwear outfits, all you need are a few gold accessories and some comfortable heels. I have been loving these heeled mules. They come with a quilted strap, which is so trendy right now and the heel isn’t too high either. You can wear them to work and also on the weekends with more casual outfits.
