12 Designer Items That Are Actually a Smart Investment

When it comes to investing in designer goods, it can tricky to decide what’s really worth it -and what should be passed on. So before I make a purchase, there are a few factors that I always take into consideration, which include the cost-per-wear as well as the resell value. In most cases, I try to invest in pieces that I know will either maintain its price or increase in value. This is important even if you don’t plan to ever sell an investment piece because the resale value can give you an idea of how well something holds its value and also show you how timeless it actually is. To me, an investment-worthy piece is one that retains at least 70%-80% of their original MSRP.
Although it’s hard to accurately predict which pieces will be trending from one season to the next, we can look at previous seasons to see how certain brands and products stand against others. I’ve acquired quite a bit of designer pieces over the years and wanted to share the ones that I felt are actually a smart investment for your wardrobe. Keep scrolling to find out what they are.

White, black, nude are the best investments since they're timeless and look great with everything.
